Building a high-fidelity vocal processing engine inside a standard browser environment requires bypassing a lot of legacy web audio limits. In typical web modulators, pitching vocals up or down produces a bubbly, underwater mess.

1. Phase-Aligned WSOLA (Waveform Similarity Overlap-Add)
Standard overlap-add algorithms slice audio into windows and stitch them back together to stretch or compress time. The problem? If the soundwave peaks don't line up perfectly at the seams, they cancel each other out, creating phase incoherence (that cheap, bubbly digital artifact).

We added an Adaptive Formant Filter that tracks your pitch adjustments:
- High Pitch Shift: The engine automatically applies a peaking EQ boost at $420\text{ Hz}$ to restore lower-mid chest warmth, keeping pitched-up voices thick and full.
- Low Pitch Shift: The engine applies a peaking EQ boost at $2400\text{ Hz}$ to isolate critical intelligibility bands, keeping low-pitched vocals incredibly clear and sharp.
3. Local Microphone Wave Capture
To minimize workflow friction, we integrated a Live Microphone Recorder right into Step 1. Using the browser's native MediaDevices API, you can record up to a 30-second take locally. The recorder compiles the raw audio chunks into a local binary buffer, decodes it immediately within the active AudioContext, and feeds it directly into our phase-aligned DSP graph.
